Reason I ask this question is because my pup is a flying machine. I was out other nite with both dogs, now my bitch is not slow by any standards, quick to say the least. But when I was doing a spot of light training with them the pup was out running her every time.

How fast can a lurcher run? has this been ever clocked?, and what would be classed as a fast time say over 100 meters for a lurcher?

so what would be the fastest X then??? :hmm:

I would favour a gurt great big, feck off BWRA style race Whippet..... ;)

Or,...a specialist 'sprint Greyhound'....

But only over a measured distance,...and this factor has little to do with the work of a LURCHER.....

Nice to see though....

I reckon a Grey X whippet would make the fastest Lurchers over 100 m

Add a bit of Collie/Saluki/Bull and they will start to slow down

Over 1 km a Saluki X would beat a pure Grey though
